question:
Can we really shift the blame from the students to put it on someone else? When is it time to blame the method used in teaching so we can start making changes?
Comment:
16 years ago when my son (now 20 Years old) used to go to head start program in Fairfax County, his home room teacher had a master degree and 15 years of teaching experiences. Her assistance, a young girl, was holding a collage degree in teaching and 4 years in teaching. 6years ago when my daughter went to school, her teacher had a 2 years teaching certificate and 3 more experience in teaching. Today in many classrooms around the country many teachers has no prior experiences in being with kids not only teaching. I wonder what made things change so dramatically for an important arena such as education.
Connection:
Sitting listening to Dr. Pedro passion and true interest for making a difference and making the right change was so good. I am sure many people as passionate and as loyal.

It can be a frustrating time to be a teacher. Over the years the profession has become more and more de-professionalized as teachers are handed all sorts of mandates and told how to teach and what to teach. The result has been a dwindling teaching force and less qualified teachers in classrooms. Sad.
